Hi,
Recently I've been having quite a number of thoughts and am confused about some stuff...
Why do we pray? Why do we ask God for things? Is it going to change the outcome? Because isn't our lives already planned by God.. so no matter whether you ask for something or not, whatever is planned already won't be changed?
When they say God has a plan for us already, does that mean that he has the perfect life of us thought out already and it's up to ourselves to follow that pathway? So whenever something bad happens to us, it's because we've strayed off the path? and so when we pray, we're asking him to lead us back to the path?
When do we know that we're on the right path? If we pray to God and he helps us in a certain situation, does that mean that He's approving of whatever we're doing and so He's helping us? But then again, why did we have to pray when it's already on the planned list?
Does God know what our choices are going to be? Like does he know when we'll make the "wrong" decision and stray away from him? Or does he not know what we're going to choose and just has the perfect path planned for us.. and just hopes to see whether we'll stray or stay?
Will God give you things that your heart desire, without you asking? Sometimes we say that God knows us inside out, he knows what we want and so he gives us things. but on the other hand, He also wants us to ask seek and knock right? So if we're hoping for something and we don't pray.. then God won't give it to us? So that could be a reason why we have to pray, but again, isn't everything all part of a plan already? Like he already planned whether to give us things or not already, beforehand?
Why did God create us in the beginning? What are we for? Like it seems like a toy game, God's just watching us. and he already knows what'll become of each of us in the end? So we're just part of a planned life journey?
Why does God have to send Jesus to die for our sins? Like why is sin "a matter" to God? That he has to sacrifice his son to "fight against the devil"? God is more powerful than the devil, so why does he have to do all these?
Goodness, there's so many questions that's on my mind. Do you ever wonder such stuff too? I know I should be studying but these are bothering me at the same time! I'm not trying to doubt God, but i'm just confused over some questions.
They're difficult to answer definitely, because I haven't been able to find out the answers to any of them.. So maybe you could help me understand some stuff if you can?
